Today I’m self-healing a little cough I’ve had for the past two days.

I ended up not going anywhere and it’s now 5 in the evening.

I intended on taking a leisurely walk around the hood earlier, but ended up listening to my body and giving her a nap instead…

I thought I might go to a Gentle Yoga class…but that didn’t line up either… =)

Today I got to watch the Sky and listen to the wind rustling in the palms…

Today I sat and meditated and sent Love to my Heart.

Today I was blessed with Pure Love from the Universe, and so was the World.

In stillness we receive SO much.

I’m grateful for our gifts, even the gift of a sore throat, a cough, and some phlegm can actually have hidden blessings.

Our body and Spirit is so intelligent it has to sometimes trick us into slowing down, paying attention, or practicing stillness…

Sweet nothingness…and then as we surrender we allow ourselves to be filled with Divine Spirit.

From today I’ve received so many teachings and insights, it’s beautiful and organic.

Remember friends, self-care, self-nurture, Love & Honor You, Your Body, Mind, and Soul.

Today’s strokes paint the picture of tomorrow.
Be aware, what kind of image do you want to see and receive.
How you move or don’t move today prep the canvas and the grounds for tomorrow.
If you put in a little devoted time to clearing and keep your space, your life, or in otherwords keeping the canvas and the grounds clean…
It gives you an even greater gift to awaken to the next day…it will seem more fresh because of how you tended to it the day before.

If you’ve dirtied your day with negativity, anger, unhealthy habits, bleak outlooks, & hate; actions which do not serve the best for yourself (and others), tomorrow you awaken and receive a different type of ground to walk upon. It will be tougher to tread a path that you threw rocks all over the day before. It will be different to paint upon a polluted or torn canvas, dented with abuse & miscare. Perhaps the day before…or even that it had been weeks, months, years, since you took time to do some cleaning & orderliness. With time there are layers and layers of dust, dirt, grime, debris collected on your old canvas.

Injoy your process. TODAY. The process is each day you live.
Have fun in the darkroom. That’s always such a fun time before the print gets to come out and hang dry. The water, the secret amounts of just right light and tender care that you must spend with your beloved print to-be…an exciting intimate journey in the darkroom, all yours. You mix liquid fixers and chemical potions…you’re a magician. You’re in the zone and no one can disturb you. All is essential the wet times, & the dry time, for a “finished” image on paper…of maybe something beautiful, of something real in that moment, a capture of something which spoke to you specifically. It was a unique passage between your Soul and The Universe. It was a connection that ended but you wished to keep it.
Photo Art can be considered both an Alchemical happening, and it also seems to me like a strong passionate love affair. It’s a tango between my Heart and the beauty, the extravagant messes, and getting to take in the sacredness I experience in what is called “life.”
Beauty is so fleeting and temporal. From day to day, yesterday’s “prettiness” could soon be considered “over” out of style like acid wash jeans…but much much quicker.
The hot 18 yr old or twenty something model babes are “washed up” and lying about their real age by the time they’re 30.

so many fight to hang on to suppleness, but all puppies become old dogs.
I think it’s so funny to grasp…let it be. Woof.

Perhaps a different metaphor suits your taste better…all little sprouts can grow with time to be a Great Wise Oak. We are what we say we are. We write the definition of what is beautiful, we deem worthiness. We can choose a different definition as well. What he tells me looks good, I can disagree.

I remember as a model some photographers would photoshop out each and every mole or freckle on my face. I never really liked that.

Today I am grateful for

1) my infinite sense of compassion for others, but especially for myself.
2) my generosity in skill of having a sense of humor about things.

Some days I arrive in a place where I feel I’ve taken two steps forward, and one step back.
I’m not sure right now what that means exactly, or if that means I am “judging” myself….which really is unecessary anyway.

Today I started telling myself a new story.

In this rendition at last I’m saying:

I Believe in Myself.

Breaking free of the illusions…moving through the fears…taking down the walls which I built around myself…I was so afraid…I only knew where I’d been before through all the years…all the lifetimes of pain, of oppression, of all that I needed to go through; knowing, seeing, feeling, just to make me

SO STRONG.

A Warrior.

I been there. seen it.

l Iooked at it. and of course felt it.

Tried to escape it several times…

Am I speaking of the darkness, the pains, all the moments when I just wanted to DIE…or am I referencing the pure beauty, sweet breath of life, the Light of Soul…my power and my wealth. LOVE.

It’s all ONE in the same.

Lotus.

Truth Prevails.

No more sidelining baby. You deserve it, you deserve Love and Richness.  God’s Gifts are yours to share, to injoy, to receive.

It is safe for you to be powerful…Be Beautiful…Do Not Be Afraid any longer. Let it Shine.

The Prophet Chapter 8 – Joy and Sorrow  by Kahlil Gibran

Then a woman said, “Speak to us of Joy and Sorrow.”

And he answered: Your joy is your sorrow unmasked. And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears. And how else can it be? The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain. Is not the cup that holds your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter’s oven? And is not the lute that soothes your spirit the very wood that was hollowed with knives? When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful, look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

Some of you say, “Joy is greater than sorrow,” and others say, “Nay, sorrow is the greater.”

But I say unto you, they are inseparable. Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.

Verily you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy. Only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced. When the treasure-keeper lifts you to weigh his gold and his silver, needs must your joy or your sorrow rise or fall.

I dare you to live life inspired.

Redefine “normal”

Create and set your standards.

Don’t be afraid to Open up.

Humor yourself.

…and find humor in yourself.

Be friends with enchantment.

Expect beauty.

Expect wonderful.

Have the courage to attempt to Love…more and more…

Gentleness and softness are strength giving attributes.

Life is like a song that just keeps playing.  There are changes in the melody, dramatic parts then slow and subtle.

So kick up your heels and accept the ride.  sing along to life’s tune like it’s your favorite.

The Universe does not support disbalance.

What is beneficial will remain 

and stay by your side or in your realm for as long as it is helpful to you and to others.

If it is unbalanced then you will see it fade away like eyelashes which quickly served their purpose. 

Kick up those heels and let the Angels steer for you.

Life’s happy passenger.  Take in the beautiful scenery.  Taste and sample what is placed on the menu before today.

And also just keep walking, stroll along and know what is impermanent, and what is everlasting…

Eternal Soul.
